Megan Carroll has been writing fiction, screenplays, and short stories for about 20 years. In high school drama class, a project came up to create a character and write them a monologue. Being in the middle of her short-lived “goth phase”, Megan created Damien, a male vampire who was going through tough times romantically. She aced the project, but for some reason Damien stuck with her. How old was he? What did he look like? Why was he so upset? And most important – who was this woman that had him in such distress? The answer was Chapel, and from there 600 years worth of adventures, background, and an entire cast of creatures and characters began to form. After all this time and a bookshelf full of screenplays and “scenes”, Megan finally made the decision to share Damien and Chapel’s story, this time in the form of a series of novels.

Breed: Prophecy Reawakened will be the first in a series of 4. Megan is currently writing the second – Breed: Prophecy Shattered. She recently made the move from Florida, where she had lived her entire life, to Indianapolis with her husband Sean and 15 year old dog Bowie. Bowie is handling the rough weather transition better then his mother.
